Torfaen County Borough Council is committed to safeguarding the welfare of those accessing our services through the effective use of the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Our Human Resources Service ensure that appropriate checks are undertaken and maintained in accordance with the Council's safeguarding policies and procedures.
Torfaen County Borough Council is working in partnership with Powys County Council to enable staff to submit DBS applications via an intelligent, fast and efficient online system. The system provides faster DBS disclosure returns as well as safe and secure data handling and storage.
Once an application form is completed, it is sent securely via a direct link to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
